There are many important components of creating harmony with Feng Shui. Many people, however, wonder if house numbers play an important role. The numbers 1, 6, and 8 are the most favorable numbers according to Feng Shui principles.

While important, you are urged against buying a home based solely on its house number. Instead, examine other important elements of Feng Shui, including location and the surrounding area. For many, this is a more realistic approach than buying a home simply because of its house number.

House Numbers Feng Shui

A favorable home number when combined with an energy flowing location is the perfect combination. Some suggest harmonizing important birth dates with house numbers, whenever possible.

Should you later decide to relocate or sell your home, those with favorable Feng Shui numbers are quick sellers.

As a reminder, we can’t all choose our house numbers. So, what should you do if your house number is unfavorable or inauspicious? The first step involves making changes outside of your home. Avoid displaying the house numbers on the door or outside walls. A nearby porch area that is clean, home to metal, and lush green plants can counteract inauspicious numbers.

Water, one of the five elements of Feng Shui, can help to absorb and ward off bad chi with the use of birth baths and fountains.

If you are looking to purchase a new home and have the freedom to choose from multiple home numbers, remember that 1, 6, and 8 are favorable. Creating a positive, free-flowing chi movement is another way to cancel out an inauspicious house number.

Review your home and consult with the many elements of Feng Shui to create a positive energy that is able to flow freely around your home.

To help create a free flowing environment for chi energy, wind chimes are recommended. As an important reminder, remember that you are unable to change your house numbers.
