Enjoying Sword Collecting with Family

Since I’m fairly new at collecting medieval swords, making sure I get quality swords is important. I also want to know that I’m getting a good deal. The Internet is a valuable resource for sword collectors because it allows you to find really good deals and a much wider selection than what’s found in most brick and mortar stores. Finding online retailers that sell a wide selection of swords at decent prices is almost like finding a goldmine for me.
I have to admit that my newfound enthusiasm for collecting swords has spilled over onto my parents. They always been fond of the fantasy and medieval genre, I suppose that’s where I get it, and have shown interest in getting a nice looking display sword of their own. I know it helped to actually see how nice a sword can look displayed on a wall.
They’ve even talked about getting other medieval items like daggers and battle axes. I think my dad wants to redecorate the game room downstairs and have weapons accent the theme. And if you ask me that’s not a bad choice|Of course, I’m all for that|I’m already sold on the idea[/spin]. I’ve seen similar things done at friend’s houses. My good friend has a bar and billiards room that has a few fantasy swords lining the walls. The next sword I get is definitely going above the fireplace. I’ll have to get that okayed by the wife first I suppose.
